Our second date was... interesting.
Again, I was still working for AmeriCorps and when the little King of the organization was out, everyone slacked off a bit. With that said, Luna texted me and said that his mouth was killing him and he really needed to go to the doctor.
I told the people at work that I was going to take my lunch, and went to go pick him up from his Uncle's house on Division. We went to one of the local hospitals, and I sat with him until they called his name. I later went and picked him up from the ER and found him completely looney from whatever medicine they'd given him. We went and picked up some antibiotics and I took him back to his Uncle's house, before returning back to work.
Later that night, he called and said if I wanted to go for a drive (of course my answer was yes). We ended up at the Humboldt Park Boat House. We walked around, talked, sat on the ledges, and then it started to rain. Under the cover of the Boat House, I asked if he knew how to dance.
He grabbed my hand and we started at first slow dancing, then moved on to Bachata, and then ended with a little Salsa. It was romantic: dancing under the stars, in the rain.
So... with that story told, we will be holding the ceremony portion of the wedding at the Humboldt Park Field House.
